A Message from the Principal

I always look forward to the first day of the academic year after the long  summer break. Our students arrived looking excited, yet possibly somewhat anxious but my team were in place with ready smiles to welcome, support and encourage.

It was wonderful to see how the students have matured and become more confident in readiness for moving up into the next year of school, with all that it promises, leading to their first set of formal, academic examinations in Year 11.

I was incredibly impressed with the new students’ positive approach to school and how kind and thoughtful our returning students were, helping them to settle in happily. The students in Year 7 have told me that they are delighted to be at Senior School and are enjoying the variety of subjects, greater independence and getting to know the specialist Teachers.

We are all looking forward to an enjoyable and successful year for your children and for Bromley Independent Grammar.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or one of the BIG team and I hope you will be able to join us for some of the events, starting with the Macmillan Coffee Morning and Meet the Teachers on Friday 27th September.

My very best wishes,

Mrs Harries
